The Story Behind Our Collections: Odesa Sea, Polissia, Steppe, Lviv Sky & Synevyr
Every Kolo Pechi collection begins with a place — a landscape, a light, a feeling that is distinctly Ukrainian.
Odesa Sea
The Odesa Sea collection is inspired by the southern coast — warm sand, a salty breeze, and the Black Sea. The palette moves between deep teal and natural sand, finding a gentle balance between the depth of the water and the warmth of the earth. In this collection we work with two materials: linen and hemp fabrics.
Polissia
Polissia is the historic forested region of northern Ukraine, long known as the heart of flax cultivation. The Polissia collection is crafted from 100% dense linen in its natural, unbleached state — a warm grey-beige that resonates with tree bark, moss, and damp earth. Sturdy and reliable in quality, this fabric becomes softer with every wash. The outstanding antibacterial and moisture-absorbing properties of linen ensure comfort and pleasure in everyday use.
Steppe
The Ukrainian steppe is one of the largest grassland ecosystems in Europe — vast, open, and quietly dramatic. The Steppe collection is crafted from a textured hemp-cotton blend (40% hemp, 60% cotton) in a calm natural beige that recalls late summer and sun-warmed earth. Hemp is one of the strongest natural fibres: naturally antibacterial, highly absorbent, and only getting better with time. Grounded textiles that bring a sense of space and warmth into the home.
Lviv Sky
Lviv has a particular sky — layered with cloud and history, soft and architectural at once. The Lviv Sky collection is crafted from 100% textured cotton in a pure, deep grey that feels incredibly soft to the touch and is practical for daily use. The restrained tone works as a calm, neutral canvas — timeless and easy to style in any interior. Handcrafted in Lviv by experienced craftswomen.
Synevyr
The Synevyr collection is a reminder of the crystal-clear waters of Lake Synevyr — the high-mountain jewel of the Carpathians. Its palette centres on a soft sky blue that carries the stillness and freshness of the highland landscape. Crafted from dense, high-quality cotton, this collection brings light and freshness to your kitchen — a quiet reminder of mountain air and clear water.
Why Place Matters
Ukraine is a country of extraordinary geographic and cultural diversity. By rooting each collection in a specific landscape, we want to share that diversity with the world — and to celebrate, even in difficult times, what makes this land so special.
Each piece is handmade from Ukrainian fabric, in Ukraine, from natural linen, hemp, and cotton. With Kolo Pechi kitchen textiles, you bring a piece of Ukrainian landscape into your home.
